When working with relationships and couples, I often use frameworks from Emotion-Focused Therapy.

  • Yes! I offer relationship therapy and coaching. This includes non-romantic relationships, too. I’d love to meet with you all in a consultation call to see if we’re the right fit.

  • That’s a super important question. I really want you to find a therapist or coach whose personality and style you enjoy.

We will meet for a 15 minute video consultation to feel things out. That conversation will help me learn whether my therapy practice offers what you’re looking for. And it’ll give you the chance to get a feel for my personality and style.

As we continue sessions, we’ll check in on how things are going. Whether it’s the beginning, middle, or end of our time together—I’ll be happy to provide you with referrals to other therapists and coaches that I trust.

  • Oh wow, thanks for asking ;)

The artists that I’ve had on repeat this year are Ora Cogan, Hannah Cohen, and Addison Rae.

I’m sort of a folk princess / gothic fairy / disco queen.

FAQs

ABOUT SESSIONS

  • I provide therapy to clients in California. Therapy is a legally regulated clinical service focused on mental health. If you are seeking treatment for trauma and mental health conditions, I can only meet with you if you live in California.

Coaching, on the other hand, is a service available to people located anywhere. It is more future-focused and goal-oriented, offering support around personal growth, identity, relationships, and life transitions. While coaching can feel therapeutic, it isn’t a substitute for mental health treatment.

During our 15 minute consultation call, I’ll learn about what you’re looking for and will let you know if coaching is the right fit.

If you are outside of California and your goals aren’t compatible with coaching, I will provide you with referrals for therapists in your state.

  • My session rate ranges from $130-$200, depending on sliding scale availability.

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Coaching sessions are 45 minutes.

  • No. My practice is fully private-pay. If you have California-based insurance, I can provide you with a superbill, which can help with receiving reimbursement. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card to learn what percentage of the cost your plan will cover.

I cannot provide a superbill to coaching clients.

  • It’s super helpful to start off with weekly sessions, even if it’s for a short time. This weekly cadence gives us a chance to connect more deeply before diving into the big stuff.

I know that weekly sessions aren’t always possible. If this is the case for you, we can meet every two weeks.

As time passes, you and I will check in on how sessions are feeling and we’ll adjust how often we meet.

  • At this time, all my sessions are fully virtual.

If you live in San Diego, we do have the option to occasionally have our sessions at an outdoor place, like a park. You’re welcome to ask more about this during our consultation call.

  • I provide therapy in California and offer coaching anywhere.

When a person lives outside of California, coaching sessions are an option for us. During our 15 minute consultation call, I’ll learn about what you’re looking for and I’ll let you know if coaching is the right fit.

Go to the the ‘coaching vs. therapy’ FAQ tab to learn more about the difference.

  • Definitely not. Laughter and chitchat can be healing and cathartic.

Our sessions will be a space to process all feelings and emotions. Feelings like joy and relief deserve our attention, too!
